Some of the young people who were detained and arrested in Saraçhane during the protests that started after the cancellation of Ekrem İmamoğlu’s diploma and the March 19 operation will appear before a judge on May 30. While their families called for the release of their children, a press conference was held at Eğitim-Sen Istanbul Branch No. 3 with the message “We want justice for our children”.
The families stated that the young people are going through a psychologically difficult process and that their university exams and future plans have been disrupted. They also drew attention to the rights violations and pressures during the detention process. It was emphasized that the course of the trial directly affects the psychological state of young people and families.
