Journalist and writer Zekine Türkeri stood trial for the first time in the lawsuit filed against her on the charge of “terrorist organisation membership” based on her social media posts. The prosecutor presented their opinion in the first hearing, requesting Türkeri’s penalisation. Istanbul 13th Assize Court scheduled the next hearing for March 15.
