72-year-old Makbule Özbek was sentenced to 7 years and six months of imprisonment in the lawsuit filed against her due to “terrorist organisation membership.” Özbek has previously been arrested within an investigation conducted by Diyarbakır Chief Public Prosecutor’s Office against the Democratic Society Congress and was later released due to her health problems.
