Student Collectives announced their new period struggle program with simultaneous demonstrations in six cities.
In a statement in front of the Youth and Sports District Directorate in Kadıköy, Istanbul, a banner reading “We march against the trustee order, capital, fascist gangs and cults! This road leads to the Palace” was carried.
The university students demanded that KYK scholarships be fixed at half the minimum wage, KYK loans be converted into scholarships and debts be canceled with interest.
After the statement, the police blockaded the group under the pretext of GBT and detained 9 students, while keeping members of the press away from the area.
