In Kaş, Antalya, land registry technician D.A. was detained by the gendarmerie on March 24, 2026, on the grounds that he had improperly accessed the land registry records of Justice Minister Akın Gürlek. D.A. stated that he had conducted the search at the insistence of someone he met on social media and that he had experienced “a momentary lapse of judgment.” As part of the investigation, two land registry directors stationed in Boğazkale, Çorum, and Çobanlar, Afyonkarahisar, were also detained on the same grounds. Proceedings against the suspects are ongoing.
