The Tekirdağ Chief Public Prosecutor’s Office launched an investigation into journalists Selman Çiçek and Hülya Baytur on the grounds that they subscribed to the journal Demokratik Modernite and transferred the subscription fee to its account. The two journalists gave statements at the Diyarbakır Police Headquarters. Selman Çiçek said the subscription was part of a lawful publishing activity.
