The gendarmerie detained about 20 people who gathered on Turnalık Plateau in Ordu’s Korgan district to prevent mining-drilling operations by the Taşyapı company. Residents began resisting at the worksite after the company brought its construction equipment back to the area. The gendarmerie ordered the area to be evacuated, then intervened when residents linked arms and continued the protest, taking those detained to the station.
