Trustees were assigned against Karapınar, Bismil and Kocaköy District Municipalities of Diyarbakır as well as Erciş District Municipality of Van, all under People’s Democratic Party (HDP) administration. As Kayapınar Co-Mayor Keziban Yılmaz Bismil Co-Mayor Orhan Ayaz and Kocaköy Co-Mayor Rojda Nazlıer were under detainment without testifying, the Interior Ministry dismissed them and assigned district governors to the municipalities as trustees. Thus, trustees were assigned against 12 municipalities under HDP administration since the elections on March 31st.
