The Constitutional Court (AYM) decided that the “right to meeting and demonstration” guaranteed by Article 34 of the Turkish Constitution as well as the “torture ban and the ban against treatments incompatible with human dignity” guaranteed by Article 17 wereviolated in the application of two teachers, who were injured as a result of the police intervention against the protest organised in Ankara for November 24, Teacher’s Day.
