In the phone call he had with his family, Mehmet Ali Dayan, a prisoner at Afyonkarahisar T-Type Prison No.1 stated that they are being tortured at the prison. Dayan stated that prisoners are searched naked, forced to stand during head count; items like television, clock, radio and newspapers are not handed to them and that they face threats by the guards; Dayan stated that the guards organised raids in wards, beat convicts and some convicts’ hands and legs are broken as a result of the beating.
