The third hearing of the trial of life defender Reşit Kibar, who was murdered while trying to prevent the tree cutting of YAPISOY company in Artvin’s Borçka district, was held at the Artvin Courthouse. Life defenders, political parties and democratic mass organizations attended the hearing. Haktan Özkan, the lawyer of the Kibar family, stated that the responsibilities of not only the defendants but also the company officials and public officials should be revealed. The hearing was postponed to January 30, 2026.
