The Bakırköy 2nd Criminal Court of First Instance held the second hearing on February 18, 2026, in the case against journalist Nisanur Yıldırım, who was prosecuted following a complaint by Minister of Culture and Tourism Mehmet Nuri Ersoy. The prosecutor requested that Yıldırım be punished for “insulting a public official” due to statements made in a news report dated July 15, 2025. The court granted time for the defense and postponed the hearing until June 11, 2026, at 11:30 a.m.
