Tansu Ayperi Varol was detained on charges of “threatening the president” after sharing a video created with artificial intelligence on social media. The video depicted Atatürk criticizing President Erdoğan over his economic policies. In her post, Varol wrote that Atatürk would “solve the problem at its root” in such a situation. The Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor’s Office announced that Varol was arrested in Bursa. It was claimed that Varol is a teacher.
