Following Major E.Ş.’s application to CİMER after being expelled from the Turkish Armed Forces, an investigation was launched against General D.A. on charges of “insulting the president.” According to journalist Müyesser Yıldız, E.Ş. reported the situation to CİMER, stating that while on duty, he witnessed D.A. making remarks about President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and his family. E.Ş. claimed that numerous disciplinary and legal proceedings were initiated against him following this complaint. The investigation file was sent to the Chief Public Prosecutor’s Office of the province where General D.A. served, with a decision of incompetence.
