The detention period of 22 people arrested during a protest in the Nusaybin district of Mardin against attacks on Kurds in Syria has been extended by one day. Among those detained were journalists Kesira Önel, Pelşin Çetinkaya, Heval Önkol, Ferhat Akıncı, and Muhammed Ali Yılmaz. Those detained were taken to the Mardin Provincial Police Headquarters. It was reported that instructions from the Nusaybin Chief Public Prosecutor’s Office were awaited for statements to be taken.
