The Turkish Journalists’ Association (TGC) reacted to RTÜK’s 5-day broadcasting suspension imposed on Tele1. TGC stated that RTÜK acts in line with the demands of the political power and tries to silence critical media outlets with economic sanctions. The statement emphasized that RTÜK has lost its impartiality and called on it to make decisions in line with the Constitution and the principles of democratic society.
