The Private Sector Teachers’ Union protested the deaths of child workers at MESEM during the Vocational Education Summit in Istanbul. At the event organized by the Ministry of National Education at the Pullman Hotel, which was also attended by employers, teachers chanted the slogan, “You are child killers, MESEM, you are disgraceful.” Security guards forcibly removed the teachers from the hall. According to shared footage, the teachers were handcuffed and detained.
