Doruk Dörücü, a student who tore his diploma at Boğaziçi University graduation ceremony, was detained on charges of “inciting or insulting the public to hatred and hostility” and “insulting the Turkish nation, the Republic, institutions and organizations of the state”.
An investigation was launched against Dörücü, a Political Science and Public Administration and Sociology minor student, who was detained after his speech at a ceremony held at the South Campus.
Dörücü, whose statement procedures were completed, was released by the court on judicial control conditions.
