Sözcü TV, which was suspended by RTÜK for 10 days on the grounds of “inciting the public to hatred and enmity”, resumes broadcasting tonight at 00.01. The penalty was imposed due to the broadcasts made after Ekrem İmamoğlu’s detention.
The channel, which was fined by RTÜK’s decision dated March 27, stopped broadcasting on July 3. The channel, whose court application was rejected, blacked out both its television and YouTube broadcasts.
Sözcü TV will go live again as of tonight.
