Six people, including Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality and Üsküdar Municipal Council member Ekrem Baki, were arrested as part of an investigation by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor’s Office. Baki had been detained with 11 others on 3 September. After procedures, prosecutors referred seven people to a judgeship with a request for arrest and five for judicial control. The judgeship arrested six people, including Baki, and placed six people under judicial control. Baki was entitled to vote in the renewed Üsküdar deputy mayor election.
