In the second meeting of the National Solidarity, Brotherhood and Democracy Commission established in the Turkish Grand National Assembly following the PKK’s decision to lay down arms, Minister of Interior Ali Yerlikaya, Minister of National Defense Yaşar Güler and Head of National Intelligence Organization İbrahim Kalın made presentations. At the suggestion of Numan Kurtulmuş, the Speaker of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey, it was decided that the meeting would be held according to the principle of “full closure” and that the minutes would not be made public for 10 years. Jammers were used during the talks and journalists were removed from the hall. CHP and DEM Party put on the agenda to increase the number of members to 51 by filling the quota allocated to the IYI Party.
