Şanlıurfa Governorate banned all events like press statements, marches and demonstrations to be organised in the province before the anniversary of “Suruç Massacre.” The Governorate based the ban on “the protection of general security and public order.” Socialist Youth Associations Federation (SGDF) had arrived in Suruç from various provinces in Turkey in order to deliver aid to Kobani; 33 people have lost their lives in the ISIS attack against their press statement organized on July 20, 2015 at Amara Cultural Center.
