RTÜK President Ebubekir Şahin reacted to journalist Serdar Akinan’s allegations on social media and announced that they have filed a criminal complaint with the Ankara Chief Public Prosecutor’s Office. It was claimed that RTÜK and some state institutions were targeted following Akinan’s statements on the reshuffle of former Communications Director Fahrettin Altun. Şahin stated that they will not remain silent against smear campaigns. The Presidential Center for Combating Disinformation also denied Akinan’s claims and announced that they were disinformation.
