The Radio and Television Supreme Council (RTÜK) has sent a warning letter to TV channels reporting the news of massive wildfires happening all across the country last week, demanding the wildfires not be broadcasted. The Council gave consecutive penalties against the TV channels not abiding by its previous demand. Six different TV channels were penalised from 17 files based on their news on the wildfires as well as the council’s letter on censorship.
