RTÜK issued administrative fines against TV Channel D, Show TV, Fox Tv, TV8 and Halk TV due to certain series and shows on the channels. The penalties were based on violent scenes, “non-recognition of Islamic sensitivities,” “twisted relations and dialogues,” “baseless claims” and “being against general morality and the principle of the protection of family life.”
