RTÜK imposed 5 broadcast suspensions and administrative fines on the Para Politika program broadcast on SÖZCÜ TV due to Dr. Murat Kubilay’s statement “Turkey is not a Muslim country”. The program will not be broadcast between August 11-15, 2025. RTÜK argued that the statements in question were divisive and contradicted national and spiritual values. The total amount of fines imposed on SÖZCÜ TV in the last 20 months reached 15 million TL.
