The Radio and Television Supreme Council (RTÜK) imposed administrative fines and removal from the catalog on Show TV, NOW TV, Disney+, and Spotify on January 15 for broadcasting violations. RTÜK ruled that violence was normalized in the series “Veliaht” broadcast on Show TV, and that polygamy and women were presented in a degrading manner in the series “Halef: Köklerin Çağrısı” broadcast on NOW TV. Profanity and vulgar language contrary to public morality were found in the program “Konuşanlar” broadcast on Disney+. It was also noted that some songs and playlists on Spotify contained content contrary to public morality. RTÜK also announced that product placement rules had been violated in the program “Efsane Futbol” (Legendary Football) aired on NOW TV.
