Members of the Pensioners’ Assembly, who started their march from Istanbul on June 20 “for a free and decent life”, reached Ankara this morning. The retirees, who were not allowed into the Turkish Grand National Assembly, went to Kurtuluş Park and wanted to make a press statement at 17.30. However, before the statement, the group, including eight members of the Pensioners’ Assembly, were detained by the Ankara Police Special Security Branch.
