Suspects detained as part of a drug investigation conducted by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor’s Office were transferred to the courthouse. Nineteen people, including Ali Kaya, the brother of Dilek İmamoğlu, the wife of Ekrem İmamoğlu, who was removed from his position as Mayor of Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality and arrested as part of the investigation, were referred to the Criminal Court of Peace by the prosecutor’s office with a request for arrest. The prosecutor’s office requested judicial control for two suspects.
