Ankara 8th Criminal Judgeship of Peace ordered the recall of “Mahir Çayan Kitabı: Toplu Yazılar ve Üzerine Yazılar” (“The Mahir Çayan Book: Collected Writings and Writings About Him”), published by Dipnot Yayınları. A case was filed against Emirali Türkmen, editor-in-chief of the publishing house that prepared the book, on a charge of “making propaganda for the THKP-C organization.” The first hearing was scheduled for 23 February 2027. Dipnot Yayınları criticized the recall order and the prosecution, saying freedom of expression and publication had been violated. The publishing house emphasized that ideas concerning historical and political movements could not be eliminated through bans and said it would continue publishing its books.
