Organizations protesting rights violations in front of Sincan Women’s Closed Prison announced that 24 women prisoners were prevented from being released by the decisions of the Administration and Observation Board. ÖHD member lawyer Sidal Bayrak said that the right to parole was denied on ideological grounds in violation of universal legal principles. Bayrak stated that those who are seriously ill and have been in prison for more than 30 years are also not released and demanded an end to the practice.
