The gates of Istanbul Bilgi University, whose operating license was revoked by presidential decree, were locked on May 22. Students and faculty members protested the decision in front of the Santral Istanbul Campus. Prior to the protest, police deployed riot police and water cannon vehicles to the campus. Students marched toward the rector’s office chanting slogans.
