The prosecution of former German Greens Party MP Memet Kılıç started at Ankara 36th Criminal Court of First Instance due to “insulting the President” through the interview he gave to ABC Daily in 2017. The court issued a warrant against Kılıç following the claim of President Erdoğan’s lawyer, scheduling the next hearing to February 26th.
