The first hearing of the case filed against 11 politicians, with People’s Democratic Congress (HDK) Co-Spokesperson and “Peace Academic” Prof. Dr. Onur Hamzaoğlu as well as Socialist Party of the Oppressed (ESP) Deputy Chairwoman Fadime Çelebi arrested, was held. Ankara 10h Assize Court issued the release of Hamzaoğlu and Çelebi.
The 11 politicians, who are representatives of parties in connection to HDK, are charged with ‘public incitement towards resentment and hostility’ and ‘making terrorist organization propaganda’ due to the press statement they held in Ankara against the Afrin operation.
