Çorlu Chief Public Prosecutor’s Office issued a verdict of non-prosecution for train chief Hüseyin Kahraman, operators Halil Altınkaya and Suat Şahin as well as politicians, bureaucrats and the high executive council of Turkish State Railways (TCDD) on the train accident in Çorlu district of Tekirdağ, which led to the deaths of 25 people. The expert report on the incident indicated “major fault” of four people in the accident and the Chief Public Prosecutor’s Office decided for an indictment to be prepared against them.
