Police intervened against a group that gathered on Sanat Street to support the ongoing police blockade in front of Van Mall. Police blocked entry and exit points to the street, preventing the march from proceeding. A brief scuffle occurred during the intervention, and at least two people were detained. DEM Party Van MPs Zülküf Uçar and Gülderen Varlı arrived at the scene and protested the intervention. Those detained were taken to the police station in civilian vehicles.
