In the Kurtderesi neighborhood of Hatay’s Samandağ district, citizens who were holding a vigil against TOKİ’s decision to expropriate them were intervened in the morning with construction equipment accompanied by the police. Two citizens were beaten and detained in handcuffs during the raid. Detained İlayda Çekiç and Emir Döner were released after statement procedures. In a statement, the neighborhood residents called for solidarity, stating that their land is being usurped and the struggle will continue.
