Doruk Madencilik and Eti Gümüş workers faced a police intervention on the 11th day of their protests in Ankara over unpaid wages and compensation. Bağımsız Maden-İş said around 100 miners were detained and that Organizing Specialist Başaran Aksu was placed in a separate police vehicle. The union also said members of the press covering the protest were assaulted by police. After being released from detention, the miners announced that they would return to the Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources at 11:00 the next day and would continue their protests until all their receivables were paid.
