The indictment demands up to 15 years in prison for Pınar Aydınlar, who took the stage at the “Tunceli Culture Meetings” program organized by Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality at Yenikapı Event Area, on charges of “being a member of a terrorist organization” and “making propaganda for a terrorist organization” due to the fact that she opened the poster of Seyit Rıza during the concert and used praising expressions.
In the indictment prepared within the scope of the investigation conducted by Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor’s Office Terrorism Crimes Investigation Bureau, it was stated that digital materials revealed that Aydınlar was on the lists of HDK components as the chair of Kağıthane District and his contact information was found.
The indictment stated that the HDK, which was established in line with the call of Abdullah Öcalan, aims to channel leftist organizations in western provinces to PKK/KCK, and that Aydınlar was active as the mayor of Kağıthane district of this structure.
It was also stated that Aydınlar shared content on social media that legitimized the PKK/KCK’s acts of violence and that these posts constituted terrorist organization propaganda.
The prosecutor’s office requested Aydınlar to be sentenced to up to 15 years in prison for “membership in a terrorist organization” and “making propaganda for a terrorist organization”.
