The third hearing of the trial of Fırat Epözdemir, a member of the Istanbul Bar Association Board of Directors, who is accused of “being a member of an organization” and “making organization propaganda,” was held at the Istanbul 24th Heavy Penal Court. In the hearing, which was attended by many lawyers, the prosecutor requested Epözdemir’s acquittal on the charge of propaganda but demanded punishment for “organization membership.” Epözdemir’s lawyers’ request for a postponement was accepted, and the hearing was postponed until January 29, 2026.
