Police carried out an operation as part of an investigation into allegations of irregularities in tenders and procurements at Çeşme Municipality in İzmir. Deputy Mayor Emre Can Durmaz, Zoning and Urban Planning Director Buğçe Sağlamer and Acting Public Works Director Furkan Yiğit were detained. It was reported that Çeşme Mayor Lal Denizli was not detained.
