The Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor’s Office conducted an operation on February 13 in seven provinces centered in Istanbul, alleging that individuals shared obscene content and laundered criminal proceeds via OnlyFans, which is blocked in Turkey. The prosecutor’s office initiated proceedings against 25 suspects on charges of “obscenity” and “laundering criminal proceeds.” Police detained 16 individuals. The Chief Public Prosecutor’s Office stated that the suspects accessed OnlyFans via VPN and directed their followers to the platform via social media. Two companies, 10 properties, and 14 vehicles were seized as part of the investigation. The value of the seized assets was announced to be approximately 260 million TL.
