The number of people detained in the embezzlement investigation conducted by the Izmir Chief Public Prosecutor’s Office against the S.S. Business People Örnekköy Housing Construction Cooperative rose to 9 on December 28. It was alleged that cooperative members suffered losses and internal irregularities were committed as part of the investigation. Detention orders were issued for 11 individuals, including former CHP Izmir Provincial Chairman Şenol Aslanoğlu, cooperative managers, and subcontractor company officials. Eight people were detained yesterday, and one more person was arrested today. While the suspects’ procedures at the police station were ongoing, efforts to apprehend two more individuals continued.
