The fourth hearing of the case against 25 people, including former Sarıyer Mayor Şükrü Genç, former Şişli Mayor Hayri İnönü, Emir Sarıgül and former Sarıyer Mayor Şükrü Genç, for allegedly financing the DHKP-C through Kazova Tekstil in 2013-2014, was held at Istanbul 14th High Criminal Court. The defendants said that the detention had turned into an execution and demanded freedom, saying “This is not an arrest, this is captivity”. The court ruled for the continuation of detention for 11 of the defendants and released Ataşehir deputy mayors Abdullah Der and Deniz Kutlu on judicial control conditions. The next hearing is scheduled for October 27.
