The indictment against 10 People’s Democratic Party (HDP) members, who were arrested on May 3rd by Istanbul 5th Criminal Judicature of Peace with the allegation of ‘making illegal organization propaganda’ after being taken into custody with a raid organized against the electoral meeting in HDP Güngören district building in Istanbul on April 28th, was completed.
Accepting the indictment, Istanbul 23rd Assize Court issued the release of nine people, including HDP Istanbul Provincial Co-Chair Cengiz Çiçek. The party’s Güngören District Co-Chair Ömer Özkan remains arrested; the first hearing of the case will be held on August 3rd.
