News about the protests of Van Yüzüncü Yıl University students demanding an effective investigation into the suspicious death of Van Yüzüncü Yıl University student Rojin Kabaiş were blocked from access on the grounds of “protection of national security and public order” by Van 2nd Criminal Judgeship of Peace on October 23, 2025. Previously, social media posts about Rojin Kabaiş’s death were blocked upon the request of Van Yüzüncü Yıl University Rectorate. Thus, censorship of news and posts about the incident has been expanded.
