A new criminal case has been opened against conscientious objector Kamil Murat Demir at the Tunceli 2nd Criminal Court of First Instance. The case, registered on November 28, was opened following the 16-month prison sentence handed down to Demir on November 12. The court had determined that Demir had failed to report for duty four times in 2024. With the 21-month sentence he received in October, Demir’s total prison sentence has reached 37 months.
