CHP Chairman Özgür Özel announced that files on AKP-era expenses were found in the office room of arrested Beyoğlu Mayor İnan Güney. In the file, it was claimed that the same works were carried out at much higher prices during the AKP period. Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor’s Office announced that the files were seized and a separate investigation was launched. Özel shared three different examples, saying, “İnan president handed them a gift package.” The Chief Public Prosecutor’s Office stated that the documents are not linked to the current investigation and that a new file has been opened.
