Police intervened against citizens who gathered in Kadıköy, Istanbul, to support Migros warehouse workers who had been detained. The Warehouse, Port, Shipyard and Maritime Workers’ Union (DGD-SEN) announced that the crowd that gathered in Kadıköy to protest the detention of Migros workers during a demonstration in front of the Beykoz home of Anadolu Group Chairman Tuncay Özilhan was also detained by the police. On the 13th day of the resistance launched by Migros warehouse workers against the 28 percent wage increase imposed on them, 46 workers were detained during the intervention in the protest in Beykoz. DGD-SEN announced that police also intervened in the solidarity gathering held in Kadıköy in the evening and detained a large number of citizens.
