Migros warehouse workers gathered for the third time in front of Anadolu Group Chairman Tuncay Özilhan’s villa in Beykoz, led by DGD-SEN, as part of their resistance against the imposed 28 percent wage increase. The workers voiced their demands, explaining that they could not make ends meet on low wages. Police made an announcement calling for the protest to end. Workers who wanted to continue the protest were first surrounded and then detained by police intervention. The workers reiterated their demands for a clear 50% wage increase, payment of bank promotions, the employer covering the tax burden, and unconditional permanent positions for all subcontracted workers.
